Beginning in April, 2016, I will be teaching one day a week Orange County, CA. I’ll be offering instruction on a whole range of the things I do as a musician, including lessons on improvisation, composition, Film and TV scoring, Production, and mixing. The principles I teach in these different areas are applicable to any instrument, and I welcome musicians on any instrument.
Lessons will be offered in half-hour or full-hour increments one day a week; for the month of April I’m offering a complimentary half-hour introductory lesson to students who’d like a peek under the hood.
In addition, if you’re planning on recording a CD, or are working on one already, I’m happy to consult and mentor your process, putting 25 years of production and mixing wisdom and experience at your disposal to help you produce a really great work in every dimension.

“Brecker Bros. Reunion Band” live at the Blue Note, New York, 2012. Randy Brecker, Mike Stern (Miles Davis), Will Lee (Late Night with David Letterman), Dave Weckl (Chick Corea, Paul Simon), Ada Rovatti and me. Keys solo at about 10:30. I mixed this one as well…
My trio, “Third Rail” on tour in Europe, December 2013. This performance is available on our live CD “IGNITION: Live Across Europe”
Third Rail live in Cologne, Germany, playing my tune “Do A Little Dance”; a melody your grandma can whistle, but this tune is HARD.
Classic burnout with Chris Minh Doky’s Nomads, filmed in a great hall in Copenhagen, Denmark, 2012
Great performance by Ida Corr on a tune that we ran through once at soundcheck and then played. Killer BG vocalists, to boot!
